Life is a process

Life isn’t a destination to get to while bypassing all the mess. It’s a process to be respected and learned from and enjoyed and endured every single moment. —me 2019

Do you see the bottom left? How obnoxious! But this is seriously one of my most favorite quotes!

2019 was a hard year. Quite possibly the hardest one I’ve experienced.

But I believe there is purpose in everything. Everything. Every. Thing. Otherwise, why am I even here?

I wrote this in one of my journals. And then painted it on an old cork board so that I wouldn’t forget.

Life IS hard! And sometimes it sucks. Like, it REALLY sucks!

But if I’m able to step back, I gain a better perspective.

Life isn’t a race. There’s no “finish line” that I’m trying to beat everyone to.

Life is…well, it’s…life. I’m meant to take it one step at a time. I go forwards, I go backwards, and sometimes I go in circles. That’s just the way it is.

The sooner I accept that, the better off I’ll be. I’ll be able to appreciate each moment, good or bad, and know that it will keep going. I will keep going. And it’s ok.

Life is a process. You can't bypass all of the hard, messy stuff to get to the finish line. Life is what we are doing while striving for a better tomorrow.

My second tattoo. To remind me that life is up, down, and all around.
