Make it last!
‘Creating Joy’ is a new section, one that I want to add to the entire year. But because we are approaching the holiday, I want to start with holiday ideas. Some are huge and time consuming. Some are tiny and may seem insignificant. All have brought joy and I want to share that.
The first one is families that have matching pajamas. That’s so cute!
But the problem that I have heard about is when to wear them. They open them on Christmas Eve and wear them once. The next year, unless they are the same size, they need to wait for new pajamas on Christmas Eve.
Now, if that is your tradition, rock on! I am not saying there is anything wrong with that. I’m just incredibly cheap and don’t like the idea of buying 6 sets of pjs, only to wear them once.
I spent way too much time thinking about that. Wanting to do something, but not willing to spend the money. How can I save some money and make the joy last longer?
And then it came to me.
Last year, I purchased pajamas early, when they were on sale. Then, I gave them to the family on the first day of the Christmas holiday season. So the fun of wearing silly pajamas can last longer.
Just an idea.
